The thank you's:
Thanks to the following local business' contribution, and with 43 volunteers contributing over 750 volunteer hours on the build over the Summer holidays, we were able to complete works on our Adventure Ship Playground and we officially cut the ribbon, on schedule, in the first week of Term 1.
The children have been thrilled with their new playground, its gorgeous 47ft decking, new purple slide, new fireman's pole and 4 metre climbing wall. And best of all, with the new soft fall, we know that our kids are stretching their bodies and their imaginations in an environment that is safer than it has ever been. Thank you for helping us achieve this.
The total value of this stage 1 build was close to $50,000, but thanks to the generous support of our donors and volunteers we were able to complete it for around $24,000 – in line with the budget allocated in our P&C Business Plan.
Visit the photos of the build here. Check the photos of the playground opening here.

11am Friday 30 January - Stage One Revealed!
Everyone is welcome to the playground opening on Friday at 11am. There is a cast of many who need to thanked for their volunteer hours, donations of goods and services and their professional assistance. The team, lead by coordinator Renee Hinchcliff (Aiofe y1) was assisted by builder Rob Winter (Manu y5 & Jamal y1), Architect Zac Tooth (Eddie left last year) and P&C President Katrina Hughes (Jordan y4).
More volunteers needed to pitch in to build the playground
The week long initial playground build has been extended into this week (19th - 23rd). Please come down to the school site anytime this week and lend a hand to ensure that it's ready for term 1.
A few more chippies are required to get this project ready for the start of Term 1.
Playground co-ordinator Renee (0400796361) and volunteer co-ordinator Allison (0412104265) can be contacted for more info. Another thanks to the Bruns Bakery who are providing lunches and afternoon tea. They are making amazing progress, but as we all know, building time-lines always get pushed out!
A HUGE shout out to Rob Winter (Manu & Jamal) who will be on site again all this week from 7am - 4pm.
